Walmart Fabulous?

Apparently so!

We generally avoid Walmart like the plague. However, after realizing that he had planned a fishing outing with the boys for the next day and had no idea where his fishing stuff was (typical...right?), hubs drug me along for a late night Walmart run. (After all, what other store would be open at 10 p.m. and have fishing supplies). Well, I'm glad we did make a stop, because look what I found!

First of all - didn't know Walmart even carried fabric, secondly how awesome are these prints!! And two yards for $7.98?! I might have to revoke my Walmart boycott. Sorry :)

Miss Matched

Funky socks...I love it! There's a 'just socks' Little Miss Matched store in Union Station. How cute is this stuff!? And you can buy 3 totally non-matching adorable socks in a pack. This is my kind of place!!

Roman Architecture

Isn't it beautiful? Took this phone pic while on my way to work. It's Union Station in DC. This really is a beautiful city with its grand buildings!

Angels!

I came across this adorable pattern online not too long ago, and was basically forced into buying four skeins immediately. Cuteness is to blame, I say. Plus, it makes for quite nice V-day gifts for my nieces.

See! Although, my flower was a little de-formed, it was a first attempt, so not too bad!

Leaving Love Notes

Well, last weekend was the pits. My Mounties lost (twice), the Pens lost, and, of course there was the debacle that was Superbowl XIV. (Stupid Packers). Good thing I have Valentine's Day to look forward to! Hubby and I are planning a mini-getaway, but in the meantime, I have things like this to entertain me.

BTW - I am pretty sure my husband has said this to me at least once! After all, he is a touch

Aren't they adorable?! You can get them here and here or you can make your own via How About Orange.

Around the Southwest

I am lucky enough to have a job that allows me to travel sometimes. A couple weeks ago, I traveled a section of the country with a lot of significance in American history, and it was scattered all over the place. Check it out.

Hoover Dam (obviously)

Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

We started in LA, drove through Vegas and then on to Yuma. I didn't know until we visited, but Lake Havasu, Arizona is home to the original London bridge. It was re-assembled there.

OK Corral - Tombstone, Arizona

Roswell, New Mexico

Mesa Verde National Park - Outside of Durango, CO
